Thomas performs on carefully selected instruments inspired by historical originals. Built by hand, each has its own voice, character, limitations and challenges. Their individuality is part of the fascination: not standardized tools, but musical partners that shape performances in subtle and unpredictable ways.
The Collection
Thomas' fascination with sound extends far beyond the recorder. He is an avid collector of copy's of historical instruments and has built a vast collection of recorders and early keyboards over the years. His passion for craftsmanship, sound, acoustics and historical instruments inform every aspect of his artistic activities.
Two of the harpsichords in the collection are also available for rent in Switzerland for recordings, concerts and special projects
